What if a spool arrives damaged or out of spec?

Email hello@layercrew.com within 7 days of delivery with photos and we'll replace or refund. Filament is QC-pulled and weighed before dispatch, so this is rare — but when it happens, we own it.

How quickly do you ship filament orders?

Stock filaments leave our Bucharest warehouse within 24 hours of order confirmation. Tracked EU shipping typically lands in 2–5 business days; courier choice is shown at checkout.

What's the difference between refill and spool?

A refill is the filament wound on a lightweight cardboard core — meant for refillable spool systems (Bambu AMS, Polymaker PolySpool, etc.). A full spool is the filament pre-mounted on a plastic spool, ready for any printer. Per-kg pricing is the same; refills cut waste and ship lighter.

Are diameter tolerances published?

Yes. Every roll ships with the supplier's per-batch QC sheet — typically ±0.02–0.05 mm depending on brand. The technical documents on this page link to the published TDS and SDS so you can spec against the same numbers we do.

AzureFilm PLA (polylactic acid) is the most popular and easiest 3D printing material there is — made from renewable, plant-based raw materials such as corn starch and sugarcane. It prints cleanly at low temperatures without a heated chamber, barely warps, gives off almost no odour, and delivers crisp detail with a smooth, glossy finish. That makes it the ideal all-rounder for models, prototypes, and decorative pieces, as well as low-stress functional parts.

Storage & Handling

PLA is hygroscopic and slowly absorbs moisture from the air. For the best results, dry the filament at 40–45°C for around 4–6 hours before printing, and store it in a dry, sealed container with desiccant. Keep spools away from direct heat and sunlight, since PLA softens at relatively low temperatures.
